CHILDHOOD, Watching Him Grow

Once breakfast was over, she was told to stay outside until it was dinner time. No one would supervise her or watch her, she was simply left alone for the entire day in a kingdom where it was always cold and snowing.

In Halation, there wasn't much to do. Kids her age were rarely seen outside, and the few adults that she would run into were terrified to be near her. After all, she was the daughter of the tyrant king and queen, and the people didn't want to get anywhere close to them. They said that as soon as someone got close to the royal family, that person and their entire family should consider building their own coffins.

Unfortunately, that meant Angel was normally all alone.

However, because there were less people in the kingdom (due to everyone being executed, oops), it became easy for Angel to sneak back into the palace whenever she wanted. Surprisingly, she was very quick-witted about finding little hiding spots where no one would catch her as she snuck through the castle.

When the coast was clear, she would end up dashing through the hallways until she reached one specific room, and she would carefully peek inside if the door was open. This was Sunny's study room. He was the next heir to the kingdom so of course, they had to make sure he was prepared to do so.

Angel watched him study in awe. She loved watching her brother looking over the books, turning the pages, concentrating on the task before him. It always seemed so fascinating to learn about so many different things, but she was never given the opportunity. She wasn't wanted and had no place in the kingdom so they weren't going to waste precious resources on her.

It would be a lie to say she wasn't a little jealous, but it was overshadowed by pride. Her brother was so smart and so wonderful.

He would be a ruler someday.

He would certainly be the one to change this kingdom.

After all, he is the Child of the Sun and the sun shines so brightly.
