The Town and Municipal of Umber Village - Part 1 - Get that Money

Previously you were trapped in a prison and escaped thanks to CHARM. Specifically Slot's charm. You found some loot in some crates, then accidentally drew in more guards...
In the end, the guards eagerly got you all water, and much to your luck they escort you out of the prison. "It seems like the boss is upset about some escapees, so we'll just let the entertainers go before they get caught up in one big mess," one guard had said.
Ha.
You now stand outside the prison. Before you is a very large and bronze door, one that can simply be opened without a key or inserting coins. However, you can see the steam coming off of it.
There are a few things to keep in mind:
• Half a day has gone by since you awoke in the prison. It's Day 1 of your adventure, mid afternoon. You're feeling a little hungry, but it's not troublesome just yet. The water helped.
• You have no idea where you are in relation to Halation. All you have is that you've just escaped a weirdly lax prison with a dragon-armor guard named Bottle, who officially follows Slot. You don't know anything about this labyrinth/kingdom/??? you've found yourself in. You don't know what lies beyond these walls, or this door. In laymans terms, you're lost.
• Everyone but Dusk is dressed in a stereotypical prisoner outfit: striped long-sleeve shirt, striped pants, some ugly shoes. Meanwhile, Dusk is dressed in cute clown attire with very squeaky shoes and a bright, red nose.
• Your inventory still only consists of the few items you found in the storage room. By the way, make sure to check your inventory! Just doublecheck it. It's good to keep that stuff in mind.
• Oh, and you don't have any money on you. At all.
How will each of you go from here now that you've escaped prison?

Constructed like a 12 layer taco dip, this village consists of many colorful buildings attached to the walls, connected by slopes and levels, reaching all the way to the ceiling. To access most of them you must climb stairs and ladders.
In the middle of this room (the village, but this village is in a very large room) is a man-made fountain flowing with magma. Steam vents lay in various parts, in odd corners here and there, puffing up hot air from time to time, giving life to the wind chimes hanging right above them.
And so, the air around you is hot and thick. This doesn't seem to disturb the dragon-like people—some with scales, some with sharp fangs, some with wings, tails, and/or horns—roaming the streets one bit. They chatter, ignoring your presence completely.
Thankfully, with this layout, you can make out the businesses easily:
• A Post Office
• An Inn/Tavern
• A Magic Shop
• An Apparel Shop
How will you go from here? Splitting up is okay! But be mindful that it might get hectic so maybe consider groups/pairs.
ETA: There are two other paths leading out from this village; one heading north (alongside the same wall you came from) and another heading east.

The dragonpeople around you, who had been otherwise continuing about their day, turn to look at you. They murmur, some excitedly, some annoyedly. But, you've succeeded to get their attention, and they wait.
