Destroy a god

While Dusk wanders the main street of Halation, she catches sight of a few travelers. Huh! It's not clear why they're visiting at first. Suddenly you realize that they've never seen snow before, so this alone is a sight for them to behold. Dusk said hi to everybody, she loves u all, thanks 4 visiting!!1! as a proper ruler does.

The last thing Dusk hears as she leaves main street is not gossip, or the bantering of a merchant and a customer—it's a rumbling sound from above the kingdom. Given that you guys are settled in a labyrinth, with a ceiling overhead and not a sky, this means it's coming from the labyrinth above.

Suddenly there's a crashing sound. You head towards the source, and find that the ceiling sitting over the Blacksmith's room is caved in. It's...

A large angel statue? With a wax-sealed envelope tied around its neck. Human hands stick out from the light rubble, reaching for help. It goes without saying that the Blacksmith is destroyed.

And the angel statue, the thing that clearly crashed into the room, looks like this:

Dusk heard that and went quickly towards where the large crash from. The angel statue...

Ah...

Dusk’s eyes widen as she runs up to grab that envelope and make sure NO ONE IS HURT. But hands are reaching out from the rubble, grabbing onto Dusk. People are hurt.

Slot was feeling good after his trip to the hot spring when he hears the crash. He rushes over to investigate and somewhat freezes at the sight of the statue, before he jumps out of it. He claps his hands together and starts chanting before banishing the rubble on top of the people.

Slot successfully banished the rubble. The citizens trapped beneath are wounded, but able to climb to their feet though they're disoriented. Thankfully, nobody died or wound up crushed by the statue. Slot sighs and starts helping these people up, carrying those who can't walk.

The envelope is simply addressed to:

Halation. :)

well. It literally has a smiley sticker anyway. Dusk opens said envelope. It reads:

Those of Halation,

We sense your attendance, and extend an invitation.
Make yourselves home as you witness the death of a God.
May you, too, join them in heaven someday alongside our own.
- Dawn

Dusk stares at the letter, away from where everyone can see, but her expression is clear:

Distraught eyes fall on you. As the room crowds, hushed whispers fill the room.

"Why are the Angels targetting us?"
"What do the Deep Ones think of this?"
"Are they going to help us? Will the Deep Ones come to our aid--?!"
And the whispers continue.
"Who is going to protect us?"
"Why us? Why us??"
"We just want to be idols..."

The rest of the party eventually arrives also, kinda looking like wtf. Dusk is smiling, ripping the letter in half. “Don’t worry everyone! We’re going to take care of this! It’s okay to have wishes!”

Walnut relaxes her shoulders. "They will. The Deep Ones hear and know all - they won't allow this to go unpunished."

"Yeah, they'll help us stop these Angels." Slot replies.

"I -" Talking like this is a hassle. She has no idea what she's doing, but, "I am the Oracle, Walnut the 6th." Uh - "I hear them no different from your voices - in their name, we will take care of this."

Fortunately, the crowd drawn to the room eases up. Some of them still look worried. Still—they dampen their worries. Some cheer, some applaud. There's still hope.
