[The memory starts with the sound of footsteps, echoing in the hallway. The footsteps belong to Angel who seems to be walking with steadfast determination, carrying a large flag in her arm. She's a little younger in this memory, but this expression has more life to it than her child self.
I must ask mother.
I have to know the truth.
She hears herself say these words over and over as she approaches the Throne Room where her parents should be. As soon as she reaches the closed doors, she feels her entire body freeze in place.
Something isn't right. Something isn't right at all.
When she opens the door, her instincts are proven correct by the smell of blood. On the floor are the dead bodies of her parents, and the court that had followed her parents.
And right in the middle of the room is her brother, looking at her and smiling.]

[She spins her flag once and grips it tight in both hands. Her hands are trembling because she knows the reality of the situation. She's extremely weak compared to her brother. No one trained her to be stronger, and she certainly didn't eat well (no one in this kingdom did).]

You need to know that if you protect Halation, your attempt at happiness will be minute. You will kill off the millions of other people in this world, and then yourselves, with this foolish action. You do realize this right?
Why does Halation's meager hundred or so mean so much more than the millions of lives out there?

[And for a moment, it seemed that she would have to fight a guaranteed losing battle against her brother, but before they could even partake in a fight, Solitaire, her current butler, and many others come storming in to see the scene before them.
Sunny tries to explain what had happened and how he wanted to protect the people, the reasons why they had to die, and his determination to save the world. He truly believed in his cause and expected others to understand so you can probably see the shock in his face when the people seem to side with Angel instead when she explained herself.
He could watch as Angel spoke and the way she was able to capture their attention in a way that he was never able to with the charisma he was told he needed to have all his life. But how could he have gained that charisma?
After all, he was never allowed outside.
He never got to interact with anyone.
He wasn't allowed to.
To survive, he could only withdraw into his own shell where only Angel was allowed in. She was the only one who ever could support him.
But she chose to step out.
In the end, the people were able to decide their own future for the first time in decades, and they chose one of selfishness. The future where Halation can live.
"Dusk the [▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓] is the new ruler and queen of Halation Kingdom!"
Of course, Sunny was a danger and his desire to take over did not stop, but Angel still refused to execute her brother and instead had to accept exiling him from the Kingdom. After all, they didn't have a proper prison back then, and she also refused to place him in a dark, locked room like she had to go through when she was a child. It was painful, but she didn't regret the decision she made (she couldn't regret the decision she made) and was proud of the fact that the people chose to support her.
But she was sad.
So very, very sad.]
