Two more, following after Dusk, turn up! And one is wearing a large crown. It fits its head nicely, but it does not introduce itself kindly. Instead, it charges in with a bellowing roar.

With a huff, she turns back to Slot and just gives him a thumbs up even though she's also kind of pouting.

Sulfur laughs, albeit nervously. Something about this laugh isn't natural. She's feigning her coolness, she's craving to seem like she's on top, even if that doesn't seem like the case. The flame barrier that surrounds her remains strong, burning bright.
"I knew there would be more... they would never abandon me." She says that with relief evident in her tired eyes, bright and visible from beyond the flames. "Just as neither of you have abandoned each other... but have I got news for you!"
In the second following, she pops another cork off a potion and chucks it over the flames, into the area Juno, Clima and Dusk occupy. The bottle bursts at their feet, sending a cascade of thick, poisonous fog all around them.
[Juno, Clima, and Dusk are each dealt 1D6 damage. After determining the damage, roll 2D6 + Bravery to see if they endure poisoning. As long as they roll 9 or more, they are not poisoned.]

The King Mushroom Dragon doesn't bother with such theatrics. It has better ways. It opens its mouth, and spits a large flame right towards Slot, singeing parts of his outfit.

Tension eases from Sulfur's body. They're all further from her now. Whether they're distracted by the dragons, or making to escape, she finds solace in the fact that she has them away.
Nonetheless, she barks a dry laugh. "Ha! Please, do explain why none of you can land a hit!" Sulfur refrains from tossing another bottle—likely because nobody is within her range...?
King MD is going to be an asshole again (except to Juno, who it seems to spare?,) and spew another wave of flames, this time at the feet of everyone in the area just before it—the one holding Dusk, Primrose, Clima, THE MUSHROOM DRAGON IT'S DEAR ALLY, and Slot.
[Previously it had been a fixed 2, but since it's targeting multiple people, you must make a 2D6 + Quest roll. If you roll over 9, you only take 1 DMG. If you roll under 9, you take 2 DMG!]

The Mushrom Dragon, embarrassed by the witch's words, and REALLY PEEVED (AND HURT) BY ENDING UP AS A TARGET OF KING MUSHROOM DRAGON'S ATTACK, gives it's all as it charges towards Slot and bites his forearm, grabbing tightly and yanking. Though the teeth aren't long, or terribly menacing by most means, they're sharp, leaving a series of bloody punctures.

Slot can't take anymore hits like the one he just took, nor does he think that the rest of the group can take those sorts of hits either. He sighs, knowing that now it's time to put some extra effort into things, time for the Summoner to do his thing. Slot stills, putting himself together to summon up the power hidden with him. It takes a bit, just a moment longer than he would have liked, but he knew that they need the breathing room to get themselves back together. He focuses on the King Dragon and it seems to blink out of existence, before he reappears next to Sulfur.
Slot sags down onto the ground after the King Dragon reappears next to Sulfur, breathing hard. "Wow, that took a bit out of me."

Primrose, seeing her target whisked away, skates forward and takes aim through the flames at Sulfur's leg -- only to end up shooting King MD instead. This is still probably definitely part of the plan.

Clima frowns, wiping the dirt off of himself as he picks himself back up. He looks at his frying pan.

This isn't what he was meant to do. Fighting with this? This is his trusty friend, after all. Frying pan wasn't meant to attack things. Frying pan was made to cook things -- and oh, how it cried out to cook!
It isn't like Clima to ignore a friend's cry for help, so he sets down his backpack, pulling out a few vegetables, and begins chopping -- right there, on the battlefield. As if possessed, he expertly crafts a meal that's sure to cure ailments -- or at least give a little health back. Vegetables are healthy, after all!!
In a matter of minutes, he's made enough for the whole party, although Primrose is a little far away to eat anything. He can deliver her portion to her later, for now --
"Lunch..."
Wait. This is in the middle of battle? He blinks a few times. But the food is already made.

Dusk takes the food willingly, chowing it down, almost amazed at how much better she feels when she isn't on the brink of passing out. "Thanks, Clima. That was definitely better than everyting else so far!"
Still, her health isn't much better, but that doesn't stop her from moving forward. Her expression has been looking quite strange after all. She hadn't been smiling until after she finished the food, and of course it's obviously strained. Her focus seems to be straight at Sulfur, with strange agitation rising.
"You stopped looking afraid once we started moving back. Why? Do I scare you? Is it because I'm "miserable"? You know that's not real, right? I'm actually just full of joy now and you know you could be too, if you wanted! But no, you're just making it difficult! I just want to be friends, you dumb...dumb...phallus indusiatus!!"

Sulfur should be distracted by the King Mushroom Dragon popping up by her side, in a space too small for more than just one person to fit without getting burnt. Something like that should take precedence in getting sorted out... but this strange ruler's strong words reached her first.
"Why do you want to be friends? Explain! Please!" She's yelling, but her voice is helpless. It might come into question if the one who started this fight on such a fiery note should have the nerve to come off as helpless, but... well.
She continues. "Someone whose family possesses such a demonic device, someone who was going to eventually take this land from me! Explain!"

...none of you have heard of anything like this. This doesn't even deserve a Wit check, not even rumors or gossip have presented such an idea to you. After all, any weapon the Lord of Disaster had wasn't anything special in particular aside from that blade of his that was buried with him ages ago...
Sulfur then turns her attention towards Dusk. She hesitates, studying her... a safe place is exactly what she wants. After falling into the labyrinths, and fending for herself with the help of those three children, she wants for a life of enjoyment and peace.
But does Dusk really mean that about her family, of all things?
"You seem... ignorant. Is that it? Or, is this a trick? Tell me this is ignorance you feign..."
It's disbelief written all across her face. Still, there lingers a single thread of hope that makes her want for that. Maybe it's not too late...?

Juno gently tugs Sulfur up onto their space whale, seemingly unconcerned, "You must be tired too, ride with me."
With that, the battle meets its closure... Sulfur, who obliged and sits upon the space whale with Juno, is able to lead everyone to a hidden door that leads straight to the entrance, saving you at least a day of travel.
As it turns out, you spent roughly two days in that labyrinth.
When your kingdom heard you were on your way back, excitement filled the air. Small crowds gathered to see the weary heroes and WHO THE FUCK AM I KIDDING YOU BROUGHT LIKE EVERY SINGLE PERSON IN THE KINGDOM BUT ONE DUDE! That one person applauds you all with a slow clap. Were they being a dick? Well, I don't know, why don't you ask them why they didn't come along?
You finally get time to properly relax. Your beds aren't the best, and it smells a little dingey in some of these rooms, but this kingdom's as close as it'll get to feeling like home, if you know anything about that. Thanks to some of the treasures and gold you've found along the way (which is currently being held in the palace room for temporary safekeeping until a decision is reached,) you can feel a little comfort knowing your kingdom isn't as pitiful as it was before. Just a little.
With this, your adventure draws to a permanent close...

With Sulfur expecting to discuss several things, some further closure with Solitaire, an impending meeting with an envoy from the Millenium Dynasty in a week, and much more, your time as members of the royal court isn't quite done, now, is it?

[Previously it had been a fixed 2, but since it's targeting multiple people, you must make a 2D6 + Quest roll. If you roll over 9, you only take 1 DMG. If you roll under 9, you take 2 DMG!]

The Mushrom Dragon, embarrassed by the witch's words, and REALLY PEEVED (AND HURT) BY ENDING UP AS A TARGET OF KING MUSHROOM DRAGON'S ATTACK, gives it's all as it charges towards Slot and bites his forearm, grabbing tightly and yanking. Though the teeth aren't long, or terribly menacing by most means, they're sharp, leaving a series of bloody punctures.

Slot can't take anymore hits like the one he just took, nor does he think that the rest of the group can take those sorts of hits either. He sighs, knowing that now it's time to put some extra effort into things, time for the Summoner to do his thing. Slot stills, putting himself together to summon up the power hidden with him. It takes a bit, just a moment longer than he would have liked, but he knew that they need the breathing room to get themselves back together. He focuses on the King Dragon and it seems to blink out of existence, before he reappears next to Sulfur.
Slot sags down onto the ground after the King Dragon reappears next to Sulfur, breathing hard. "Wow, that took a bit out of me."

This isn't what he was meant to do. Fighting with this? This is his trusty friend, after all. Frying pan wasn't meant to attack things. Frying pan was made to cook things -- and oh, how it cried out to cook!
It isn't like Clima to ignore a friend's cry for help, so he sets down his backpack, pulling out a few vegetables, and begins chopping -- right there, on the battlefield. As if possessed, he expertly crafts a meal that's sure to cure ailments -- or at least give a little health back. Vegetables are healthy, after all!!
In a matter of minutes, he's made enough for the whole party, although Primrose is a little far away to eat anything. He can deliver her portion to her later, for now --
"Lunch..."
Wait. This is in the middle of battle? He blinks a few times. But the food is already made.

Dusk takes the food willingly, chowing it down, almost amazed at how much better she feels when she isn't on the brink of passing out. "Thanks, Clima. That was definitely better than everyting else so far!"
Still, her health isn't much better, but that doesn't stop her from moving forward. Her expression has been looking quite strange after all. She hadn't been smiling until after she finished the food, and of course it's obviously strained. Her focus seems to be straight at Sulfur, with strange agitation rising.
"You stopped looking afraid once we started moving back. Why? Do I scare you? Is it because I'm "miserable"? You know that's not real, right? I'm actually just full of joy now and you know you could be too, if you wanted! But no, you're just making it difficult! I just want to be friends, you dumb...dumb...phallus indusiatus!!"

Sulfur should be distracted by the King Mushroom Dragon popping up by her side, in a space too small for more than just one person to fit without getting burnt. Something like that should take precedence in getting sorted out... but this strange ruler's strong words reached her first.
"Why do you want to be friends? Explain! Please!" She's yelling, but her voice is helpless. It might come into question if the one who started this fight on such a fiery note should have the nerve to come off as helpless, but... well.
She continues. "Someone whose family possesses such a demonic device, someone who was going to eventually take this land from me! Explain!"

Build a place where we can all be safe, not be afraid of whatever dangers are lurking or threatening innocent families, protect everyone, and duhhhhhh, have a lot of fun! Sulfur eyes Clima first. The flames crackle in the silence. Yes, she is Unimpressed by your offer of food, what are you going to do, throw her a bone? /badum tsh. Still, she wants to respond to that one particular comment.
"Demonic. Yes. Don't you know anything about the artifact that once belonged to the Lord of Disaster? Continuing to possess it, when it was supposed, and said, to be destroyed years ago... a kingdom like that can't be trusted."
...none of you have heard of anything like this. This doesn't even deserve a Wit check, not even rumors or gossip have presented such an idea to you. After all, any weapon the Lord of Disaster had wasn't anything special in particular aside from that blade of his that was buried with him ages ago...
Sulfur then turns her attention towards Dusk. She hesitates, studying her... a safe place is exactly what she wants. After falling into the labyrinths, and fending for herself with the help of those three children, she wants for a life of enjoyment and peace.
But does Dusk really mean that about her family, of all things?
"You seem... ignorant. Is that it? Or, is this a trick? Tell me this is ignorance you feign..."
It's disbelief written all across her face. Still, there lingers a single thread of hope that makes her want for that. Maybe it's not too late...?

Juno gently tugs Sulfur up onto their space whale, seemingly unconcerned, "You must be tired too, ride with me."
With that, the battle meets its closure... Sulfur, who obliged and sits upon the space whale with Juno, is able to lead everyone to a hidden door that leads straight to the entrance, saving you at least a day of travel.
As it turns out, you spent roughly two days in that labyrinth.
When your kingdom heard you were on your way back, excitement filled the air. Small crowds gathered to see the weary heroes and WHO THE FUCK AM I KIDDING YOU BROUGHT LIKE EVERY SINGLE PERSON IN THE KINGDOM BUT ONE DUDE! That one person applauds you all with a slow clap. Were they being a dick? Well, I don't know, why don't you ask them why they didn't come along?
You finally get time to properly relax. Your beds aren't the best, and it smells a little dingey in some of these rooms, but this kingdom's as close as it'll get to feeling like home, if you know anything about that. Thanks to some of the treasures and gold you've found along the way (which is currently being held in the palace room for temporary safekeeping until a decision is reached,) you can feel a little comfort knowing your kingdom isn't as pitiful as it was before. Just a little.
With this, your adventure draws to a permanent close...
