Annoying Orange - FIGHT
Slot arrives in the room, and one of the oranges proceeds to SOMEHOW throw itself at Slot—
AND MISSES because it had shitty aim.
Another orange throws itself at Walnut and just narrowly whizzes past her, geez these things have no aim?
One more orange decides to throw itself at the party, this time at Juno and bounces off their armor helplessly. Oops.
The other two oranges, sitting in the back of the room, roll closer.
Slot pulls out his totally not useless shuriken and attacks an orange that's in the row in front of him. The shuriken flies past the annoying orange, and sticks into the tatami. It laughs, in a grating tone that makes me this close to linking you one of the videos.
Oranges: "Wow, we all suck!"
The oranges then actually hits Dusk AND slot this time (3hp each). The rest miss.
Briefly, Walnut wonders if it's the swimsuit this time too. But more importantly, Dusk is sporting some pretty nasty bruises, and - that other guy too, the one that looks sort of like a dog...
She clasps her hands together, clutching her pendant, entreating the Deep Ones to patch them up - which they do! Good as new. Pay no attention to the briny stench in the air.
Meanwhile, it seems Juno has easily sliced up an orange despite missing earlier - and is picking a slice up to eat. Finally.
Orange 1 takes displeasure in seeing Juno EAT the corpse of its companion. So, it simply targets Juno and thunks right into their head for 3 damage.
The other orange is kind of a dick, more than the other oranges I GUESS, it shouts a bunch of really bad puns at everyone.
"I'll beat you to a pulp! You all will be berry mad for messing with us! All I peel is rage!"
...well, in any case, whatever it's doing is. Well.
"Mm, delicious!" Juno merely says, licking their fingers.
Peanut gets beaned in the head by an orange (3hp) before Primrose finally finishes them off.
AFTER A LENGTHY BATTLE WITH FUCKING ORANGES, the room finally falls quiet. The debris of orange lays about. A peel here, a peel there. There's some dings in the tatami floor, more or less, from where the annoying oranges had bounced around. The top of the kotatsu is sticky now, too...
You have acquired +5 Wood Material in the form of orange slices and peels. Two other oranges lay abandoned, but they don't seeeeem harmful?
Amazingly, your followers (the ones that fell to the kotatsu trap) had been hiding underneath the kotatsu the entire time. They stick their heads out and sigh, leaning back on their arms. They can get back to resting!
Just as Slot sits down to rest, the walls of the room collapse around you. What you see around you isn't another room, or access to it (in fact, the sliding doors remain standing,) but instead a dark, shadowy space. Upon closer inspection, you spot headstones... hey, it looks as though this tatami room is surrounded by a graveyard?
Sitting out and about around these graves is random bits of tattered cloth and fangs.
"Well, that was tough!" Dusk said, while doing nothing useful at all. "I think we could rest now!" Disregarding the weird scene, it's fiiiiiine.
